Workwear Wednesday – Since April showers bring May flowers, I thought I would highlight this black floral top this week. I love the vibrant colors that are perfect for the warmer weather. The cardigan was a great addition when the wind made it a little too cold to be without sleeves.

Workwear Wednesday! I am so happy the warmer weather has arrived in Kansas, and this sleeveless top will brighten up any outfit. It works well for a casual day out, or dress it up with a skirt or blazer.

The color of this shirt is so vibrant. I actually wore it to a couple of meetings yesterday and received several compliments! It is so easy to wear, and the tiny, black polka-dots add a little interest.

It is that weird time of year between winter and spring when sometimes it is 40 degrees, and the next day it is 80 degrees, which makes it pretty hard to figure out what to wear! This pinstripe dress is great for days where the weather is somewhere in the middle! It is extremely comfortable and can work great for an important meeting or a day on the go. Oh, and it has pockets!

I don’t know about you, but when I had to dress up every day for work, I still wanted to be comfortable. This dress is so perfectly comfortable that I actually bought it in two colors: red (pictured) and gray. It’s easy, versatile, doesn’t wrinkle, and can pair with a blazer to work for highly professional settings. I certainly don’t miss having to dress super professionally each day, but this dress made me think it wouldn’t be so bad.

This was my find of the year two years ago. I was browsing the clearance rack in the men’s section of a department store and stumbled upon this dress mixed within the flannels and polos for $7.00! It’s easy to throw on and go, or it works great for layering. The emerald green adds a pop of color, and it’s perfect as the weather transitions from winter to spring.

Well, it’s happened. Winter has arrived and the high for the next two weeks is13 degrees. So much for the mild winter! I braved the cold and still got this week’s photo shoot in with this black, short-sleeved turtle neck sweater that I have had forever. It’s great for layering.
